Carolyn
Gatzke - a parent coach and Diane Lechner - an
interior designer found an unexpected kinship in each other
and in their work – in 1995 - when Diane enrolled her
three-year-old daughter in Carolyn’s parent-participation
preschool class and Diane re-designed Carolyn’s home for
better family living.
Their work together inspired a friendship and now a
business. Engage Environments –Children’s Bedding, Furniture
and Accessories, provides the solution to a challenge both
women faced in their work - children’s room décor often
competes with children’s own interests and sometimes hinders
their ability to play freely in their own space.
While Carolyn urges her clients to provide spaces that focus
on how children develop physically and socially and how to
set them up for success, Diane creates attractive
environments that also welcome the inevitable presence of
characters, crayons and crafts. Now you can have it all -
beautiful surroundings that embrace children’s developing
abilities, as well as their ever-changing interests – always
remember, how it lives is as important as how it looks.
